While some people know what they want to be when they grow up, others find their path by pursuing roles that fit their skillset. That’s how people-person Alex Platt, Senior Manager of Talent Technology at Procore, moved her way from a background in communications to the world of business technology.

Alex and I had the chance to talk about how her aptitude for picking up new skills and interest in technology led to a passion for people technology. Alex shares that her career maneuvers were made possible by mentorship and having a proactive mindset. Now, she is making strides in her industry with her drive for data democratization and automation, all while keeping the focus on “people” in people operations.

If you want to learn more about Alex’s career transition and what gets her excited about the future of people technology, check out our full conversation below.
