As people return to their offices and new work environments, it feels appropriate to highlight that while we may be returning to “work,” the fact is, we never stopped working.

In light of this, we centered this year’s Biz Systems Magic conference around innovation. While last year, we focused on how to keep the lights on in a world turned upside down by COVID-19, this year, we’re shifting the focus from surviving to thriving and exploring how Business Technology teams can set the stage for innovation.

A nod to leadership
This year, we have a track dedicated entirely to leadership to help you learn what it takes to be a leader and how to be a better manager and colleague. You will also get the unbeatable opportunity to hear one of our keynote speakers, Mia Hamm, two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion, speak on overcoming adversity, her time at the Olympics, and leading a team to victory. An emphasis on partnership
The success of a company is contingent on a multitude of partnerships throughout the organization—and BT is often at the center of it all. Learn from Slack’s RevOps Manager and Atlassian’s Senior Integration Engineer on how your BT team can support the move back to office and how to embrace a hybrid work environment.
If you’re looking for how to strengthen your relationship with various business stakeholders and end the ever-present game of priority tug-of-war that happens between BT and their lines of business, there will be a session dedicated to bridging that gap. Justin Norris from Perkuto will cover actionable ways to strengthen collaboration and shift your mindset.
Lastly, Senior Director of Client Services Andrea Bromberg and Senior Process Architect for Intelligent Automation Kim Mestre from SXM Media will give a real-world example of how they went from constant bottlenecks and miscommunication to driving change and increasing efficiency by changing the way they collaborated with one another. Without aligned partnerships, innovation is kept at bay.
A look at innovation
True to the theme of this year’s conference, Magic will also have sessions that highlight the unique and innovative ways in which companies have gone beyond fueling standard day-to-day operations to reimagining the future of work.
Sessions will cover cutting-edge ways to approach topics like Quote-to-Cash, data strategy, ML, and revenue-boosting automations. Speakers from Connor Group, Collibra, Stitchfix, Aryaka, Rapid7, Red Hat, SeatGeak, and more will take the stage to let you in on what they’re doing to move the needle at their organizations.
As if you needed another reason to attend, I have two words: Magic yoga. Okay, so while there won’t be any potion-brewing yoga sessions, we will have a virtual magic show with Britain’s Got Talent magician Alan Hudson as well as desk yoga with Jyll Hubbard-Salk, founder of Urban Asanas. The 17 actionable sessions related to the topics you care about the most are just the cherry on top.
