It’s tempting to work according to the idea that change happens from the top down, but Justin Wu, Associate Sales Ops Manager at Twilio, is confident that employees have the power to make an impact at every stage of their career.
“I highly encourage everyone to continue to be curious and learn how the business operates,” Wu says when asked how independent contributors (ICs) can level up their careers. Wu encourages all fellow employees—ICs and managers—to tackle challenging projects, collaborate with different organizations, and learn through shadowing managers.
